The location offers magnificent uninterrupted, panoramic views to the surrounding counytryside with the snowcapped Sierra Nevada mountain range as a spectacular backdrop. The village, located on the edge of the Alpujarra Natural Park, is situated just 12 kilometres from the coastal resort of Salobreña with its beaches and 18 hole golf course, Almunecar with it’s International School is approximately 30 mins away, whilst the main town of Motril is nearby. Granada, with its world famous Alhambra Palace, Sierra Nevada ski resort and international airport, is just 20 minutes drive. It is also well placed for both Malaga and Almeria airports. In the next two years the remaining motorway links will be completed allowing quick and easy access to the Costa del Sol, Andalucia and the rest of Spain.

The Development

The development consists of various phases of individual detached villas and terraced houses of approximately 220 properties in total, spread over an area of twenty five acres.

The First Phase, now under construction, comprises 28 terraced houses divided into four groups of seven townhouses, offering a choice of mid and end terraced properties. The first sub-phase of seven properties is now complete. (See photographs above).

The Second Phase will consist of 27 detached villas on three floors with private walled gardens, own garage or parking and optional private swimming pool. A limited number of urban building plots are also available. Second phase detached villas are available for sale, off plan. Subsequent phases will offer a similar blend of terraced and detached properties.

As the developer is constructing on only 25% of the total land area, the urbanisation will afford extensive green zones, landscaped gardens, wide roads, pavements, parking areas, communal swimming pool, bar & restaurant. Infrastructure, including wide tarmaced roads, pavements, parking areas, drainage, water and sewage of the first two phases is now completed.

The Houses

All Houses of the first phase have 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, guest cloakroom, spacious lounge with fireplace, large terrace (37 m2) and double garage (56 m2). Preinstalled ducting for air conditioning and heating, preinstalled solar water heating system, TV and telephone points throughout, double glazing, built-in wardrobes, security front door, thermal and acoustic cavity walls. Communal swimming pool and gardens (to be built at a later date).

Location

As of summer 2009, the new motorway running south from Granada to Motril, by-passing Velez de Benaudalla, is now open, and the village is clearly sign posted. There are two access points into the village from the motorway, one north and the other south of the village. This new developnent therefore has great access to the main city of Granada (20 minutes), Sierra Nevada skiing resort (40 minutes), Salobreña (10 minutes), Granada airport (30 minutes), and Nerja (35 minutes).

Please note that the price of these new properties have been reduced by 20% by the Developer, reduced from 225.000 euros to 180.000 euros. (September 2009).

August 2010: Now reduced even further to just 172.250 Euros!

Reduced again in price to 165.790 Euros (November 2011.)
